Available as an individual pattern download, or as part of the 5-pattern Layer Collection. Combine the simplest of knitting ingredients, knits and purls, to make a beautifully textured wrap or scarf. A good project for a new knitter. Wearable by men or women. Instructions for two sizes are included.

Finished Measurements Scarf (Wrap) 11.5 (21.25) inches wide, 68 inches long
Yarn Scarf: 3 skeins sport weight yarn, 273 yards (250 m)/100 grams each. Shown in Americo Original Pima Cotton 100% Pima Cotton, Pearl. Wrap: 5 skeins sport weight yarn, 246 yards (225 m)/100 grams each. Shown in Americo Original Baby Suri 80% Baby Suri 20% Wool, Chocolate Brown. Choose a yarn that will show the subtle stitch textures. Avoid very dark, unevenly textured, or hairy yarns. Feel free to substitute other yarn weights.
Gauge 20 stitches and 30 rows = 4"/10 cm in Stockinette Stitch after blocking Gauge is not crucial for this project
Needles US 6/4.0 mm straight or cirdular
Other Supplies 2 stitch markers, pins for blocking, blunt yarn needle
Construction Notes The construction is simple: Lexicon is a rectangle worked end to end in a series of simple stitch textures. Make sure to watch carefully at the transition points between textures; sometimes you will a work partial pattern repeat for symmetry.
